“Heart is a Tower” is the title track from Genevieve’s 2019 album. Made by Arcas Media, this video includes sweet animation made by Shawnigan Lake School students Magnus Scott and Fernando Gio.

Several years ago I won a 3-Hour Sail aboard Thane with the band The Sweet Lowdown. In a tragic turn of events, my cell phone slipped out of my pocket and into the depths of the Salish Sea. I mourned heavily for a few hours, then wrote this cathartic song, feeling much better after I did. One year later I got to sing it aboard the same ship with my band, the Wild Sundays!

Check out my entertaining video about food and farming politics! We had a gas filming this around Cowichan Valley, playing with the cows and chickens with our gumboots on.  Thanks to local celeb and Duncan mayor Michelle Staples for making the video!

This live video was filmed at Blue Grouse Estate Winery where I work part-time in the tasting room. This is one of the first songs I wrote and it’s on both of my albums (in different versions). Video by Dave Wallace.

In 2015 I was contacted by Shawnigan Area Director to write a song in support of the Shawnigan Residents fight for clean water. A toxic dump site has brought hundreds of truck loads of contaminated soil to the head of the Shawnigan watershed. Here is the video made with the song I wrote, and a link to Sonia Furstenau’s website:
